A cover illustration I have made for Vonk, the opinion section of the Dutch national newspaper De Volkskrant.
The illustration revolves around the theme of feigned ‘white innocence’ in current debates on racial discrimination in the Netherlands. I have chosen to depict this innocence as a middle aged white man who remains unaware of the structural, everyday racism around him.
